MSA has teamed up with the MN Chiefs to bring this program back to MN and it will be presented in four different locations around the state.

If you or your agency issue firearms permits to purchase or permits to carry this course is a must for your staff processing these applications.  I have attached a brief outline of subjects that will be covered and below you will find the dates and locations for these four courses.  Registration forms will be sent out in the next couple of days...........Begin your planning now to attend this training.

School Resource Officer Training

The Minnesota School Safety Center (MnSSC) recently received a grant from the Office of Justice Programs for curriculum development and training of School Resource Officers (SROs). This newly developed, comprehensive SRO training, is a free (3 ½ days) course designed to assist SROs with maximizing their effectiveness in the delivery of law enforcement services in schools and preparing

them to work in an educational environment.

 Managing the Incident

 

October  5

 The National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) in conjunction with the U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under DHS Grant 2009-DM-T9-K005 will be conducting a Managing the Incident-A Leadership Guide to All-Hazard Events (AWR-184) training class on October 5th, 2010. I am writing to inform you of this class. The presentation is free and is open to all Minnesota law enforcement and emergency management agencies. A light breakfast and working lunch will be served. The class will run from 7:45 am to 4:00 pm.
