Course Summary
The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association has broadened its leadership training offerings to civilian city leaders.  This training will provide city managers, administrators and elected city council members a better understanding of police departments and their 21st Century challenges.

This 6 hour session will cover the management and coordination of use of deadly force incidents, prudent investments in public safety technology, including body-worn cameras, effective recruiting of quality police chief candidates, smart, strategic decision making around police training and the alignment of a police department’s culture with its community’s expectations.
While the content would be geared toward city leaders, chiefs are encouraged to attend to assist in building a common community law enforcement vision using a global view of where a police department fits into the overall city structure.
