MCPA Academy Partnerships
The Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association hosts two sets of training academies annually. Leadership Academy helps first-line law enforcement supervisors prepare for their new duties, CLEO and Command helps police chiefs and commanders make the transition to the executive position. The week-long academies are offered multiple times a year attracting approximately 25-30 police leaders each. More than a dozen additional Minnesota police chiefs and public safety professionals teach the academy courses on topics such as critical incident management, organizational policy development, implementing new technology, and human resources and development.
