The 2023 Critical Issues in Public Safety Hybrid Training Series has a lineup of relevant topics and top-notch instructors at a cost-effective rate for departments of all sizes. Attend in person at the Plymouth Community Center or online. This 3-day workshop will focus on developing a mutual understanding & identifying common mental health factors affecting Police officers and their spouse/partner because of their continued exposure to trauma and how trauma and stress can trigger certain emotions and behaviors. This workshop will provide the officer and their spouse/partner with practical tools that, when used successfully, will help identify, build, and strengthen an officer’s resiliency at work and, more importantly, at home.

The Sheraton Sand Key resort are strong supporters of Law Enforcement and hosts many L.E. events annually. Normal hotel rate for January is 370-490 per night. As a show of their support, they have offered a “Back the Blue” discount for this important workshop -40% off the prime season with a rate of $209.00 per night. This rate will also be extended for the entire week for those officers who would like to extend their stay for a mini vacation with their loved ones.

This course is MN POST approved for 16 hours of state-mandated training in Crisis Intervention Mental Illness Crisis (CIMIC).

The City of Janesville is recruiting for a full-time Chief of Police. The Police Department consists of the Chief, one Sergeant, two full-time officers, and several part-time officers. This position is responsible for overseeing and directing the operations of the police department and its staff.
