The 2023 Critical Issues in Public Safety Hybrid Training Series has a lineup of relevant topics and top-notch instructors at a cost-effective rate for departments of all sizes. This 3-day workshop will focus on developing a mutual understanding & identifying common mental health factors affecting Police officers and their spouse/partner because of their continued exposure to trauma and how trauma and stress can trigger certain emotions and behaviors. This workshop will provide the officer and their spouse/partner with practical tools that, when used successfully, will help identify, build, and strengthen an officer’s resiliency at work and, more importantly, at home.

The Sheraton Sand Key resort are strong supporters of Law Enforcement and hosts many L.E. events annually. Normal hotel rate for January is 370-490 per night. As a show of their support, they have offered a “Back the Blue” discount for this important workshop -40% off the prime season with a rate of $209.00 per night. CITY OF JANESVILLE HIRING FOR POLICE CHIEF

The City of Janesville is recruiting for a full-time Chief of Police. The Police Department consists of the Chief, one Sergeant, two full-time officers, and several part-time officers. This position is responsible for overseeing and directing the operations of the police department and its staff.

IACP 2024 BOSTON HOTEL INFORMATION 

The hotel rooming block for IACP 2024 in Boston is now open and available for reservations. Because of the size of hotel room blocks available in Boston, hotels are smaller than other major cities IACP has had blocked years past. IACP has assigned us two hotels that our members can book rooms in. Both of these are Marriot Properties and close to the Boston Convention Center. They include The Westin Boston Sea Port District (425 Summer St. Boston, MA 02210 - only .1 miles and adjacent to the Boston Convention Center) and  The Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel (606 Congress St. Boston, MA 02210 - only .3 miles from the Boston Convention Center).
