CLEO & Command Academy (CLEO) is a 5-day course for chief law enforcement officers and their command staff. This course provides the necessary training that addresses duties and administration that chiefs and high-ranking supervisors use daily.

Cost: 

  • MCPA member agencies: $825.00 (Monday-Friday + includes lodging and meals)
  • Non-member agencies: $975.00 (Monday-Friday + includes lodging and meals)
  • Commuter (no lodging) - MCPA member agencies: $725.00 (includes meals)
  • Commuter (no lodging) - Non-member agencies: $875.00 (includes meals)


Class Curriculum (approx. 33 POST credits): 
CLEO has been approved by the Minnesota POST Board as essential training for Minnesota police chiefs. The training Academy is taught by seasoned instructors with experience in police leadership or legal expertise in Minnesota.

The Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association (LEMA) is dedicated to assisting the families and home agencies of those law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. LEMA board members are police officers, survivors and friends of fallen officers who volunteer their time.

LEMA is able to provide assistance both at the time of death, as well as into the future. LEMA honors the families and fallen officers during National Law Enforcement Memorial Week.


MCPA supports the Minnesota National Guard Beyond the Yellow Ribbon initiative. Beyond the Yellow Ribbon Initiative.
