Executive Director Report
Each year, MCPA recognizes the outstanding work of law enforcement professionals across Minnesota. These awards celebrate acts of bravery, exceptional service, leadership, and the dedication our officers and professional staff demonstrate in serving their communities.
Award categories include the Medal of Honor, Distinguished Service Award, Meritorious Service Award, Lifesaving Award, Citizen's Valor Award, and Police Cross.
I encourage each of you to take some time to reflect on the accomplishments of your officers and staff over the past year. Whether it's an extraordinary act of courage, a lifesaving response, or a sustained commitment to improving public safety, these are the stories and individuals we want to recognize.
Nominations are due Friday, February 5, 2027.
All nominations must be submitted by a CLEO. Award recipients will be recognized during our Annual Awards Banquet on April 8, 2027, at ETI in Duluth.
